Connection Error

PQ labs products are composed of 4 sides or sections. Because different customers assemble it in their own way, it is common(not usually) to have a connection problem.

You are always recommended to run 【diagnose】 as soon as you connect the 4 pieces together. Please note that this should be done BEFORE you attach touch overlay to any displays.

After you have run【diagnose】and clicked 【Show Diagram】there are 2 scenarios which might occur after looking at our inspection tool.

Case 1: Bad connection caused by loose/poor connection around corner

Case 2: Weak signal caused by blocking area

 

Please read the scenario which best fits yours situation and follow our simple troubleshooting techniques. 

Case 1: Bad connection caused by loose/poor connection around corner


 

If your AIT diagram is as below: no blue signal bars at all, only red bars. It means there is no signal. Here is an example:

Solution:

It is clear your left corner is somehow loose . We recommend 【disassembling the whole touch overlay】>> 【reassembling it】 >> 【pay close attention when connecting the left corner or "problem corner"】

Case 2: Weak signal caused by blocking area


 

 

If your AIT diagram is as below: with some blue signal bars(good signal), as well as yellow bars(weak signal) and red bars(no signal). Here is an example:

Solution:

This is actually not a Connection Error. This usually means that the touch signal is being blocked by an uneven surface. To troubleshoot, please follow the following steps:

  1. Please use a piece of glass between PQ touch overlay and display to ensure a flat working surface.
  2. Please adjust position between touch overlay and screen surface by 【pushing screen inside】 or 【lifting touch overlay a little bit】.
